What is Google Scholar Citations Profile?

Google Scholar Citations lets authors set up a profile page that lists their publications and citation metrics. It is easy to set up, especially if you already have a Google account.

Why having a Google Scholar Citations Profile?

Set up a Google Scholar Citations profile to:

  • Find your publications,
  • Keep track of citations to your publications (i10-index, h-index and total citations),
  • Graph citations over time,
  • Your profile will appear in Google Scholar search results if you make it public.

How to import Google Scholar publications into my ORCID?

  • Sign in to your Google account then select the articles you'd like to export - or check the box next to the "Title" column header to select all articles in your profile.
  • Click the "Export" button.
  • Follow the prompts to download a BibTeX, EndNote, RefMan, or CSV file.
  • Sign in to your ORCID page.
  • Start from the Works section, select +Add, then select Add BibTeX.
  • Click “Choose BibTeX file to import” to open the file menu, then select the BibTeX (.bib) file you want to import.
