TurnItIn for Insturctors: User Guides, Manuals & Tutorials: Drop a Student

This guide will help you getting started with Turnitin.

How to drop students from a class?

Instructors have the ability to drop students from a Turnitin class for whatever reason they see necessary (ex. duplicate account, student no longer in class, student not supposed to be enrolled to this class, etc.)

To drop a student from a class, follow the steps below:

1. Log into your account.

2. Click on the class name.

3. Click on the "students" tab, which is located toward the top left of the screen to display all the students enrolled in your class.

4. Click on the "drop" icon, located on the far right side from the student's name. The icon looks like a trash can.

5. Click "OK" on the popup window; the student is now dropped from your class.

Note: If the wrong student is accidentally dropped, simply re-enroll the student using the same login information used before, and all submissions will be restored.
